Week 1

well this has been a new experience to say the least. sleep has been difficult here but thats not a surprise in the slightest. he first night i got absolutly no sleep, it was fuuunnnnnn.... but the sleep has gotten better. the time here is so weird, its all wibbly wobbly and stuff. days feel like weeks and weeks seem like days and the hours seem to fly by. i dont quite get it.
i thought i knew quite a bit about the gospel when i came here, nope. i knew next to nothing, or so it felt like. i have grown so much since Wednesday, its only been sinceWednesday?!? im not quite sure how i should structure this e-mail, soooo.... i wont! bwaha!
OH! you konwthe marriot center? that really big arena in BYUs campus? do you know how the MTC has devotinals there? where some general authority comes to speak? i said the opening prayer for it. in front of about seven thousand missionaries. it was a wonderful experience and im so very greatful for that experience.

ah yes, so my companion is elder brown. and he is only kind of brown. its been weird haveing a 24/7 ball and chain, but im getting used to it. i do misss my alone time though. the other elders in my room are elder kendell and smith. elder smith is alaskan, but im not really a big fan of him, we'll be fine, but i dont like chatting with him. elder kendell on the other hand is a hoot, we sing Les Mis together and disney and other things.

The sisters in my district are fantastic. sister sadie ethington and sister miranda clark are amazing. they are bubbly and spritual and beautiful as all get out(not it the inapropriate way, but i can still tell)

i am the district leader, so basically that means i get the mail, so i do. and on that note SEND MORE DEAR ELDERS, EVEN IF THEY DONT SAY MUCH, IT FEELS NICE TO GET MAIL. EVEN IF THE ALL THE LETTER CONTAINS IS THE SCRIPT FROM AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR A TOASTER.

well Papi, i have been playing volleyball in gym, and needlesss to say (even though i will) you would be proud. i spiked a ball into a kids face and blocked a spike with my face. ive forgotten how much i like paying it.
nat, thank you so much for the letters already sent, its like you remember what it fells like to get mail.
mom, my branch presidents wife has the same curves church bag, and it gave me a bit of homesickness, but in a good way.
alie, thank you so much for the cupcakes, i love cupcakes.
and quintin is a bum because he has said nothing to me. but that was expected.

i love all of you and miss you in the best way possible.
From, Elder Parry
